Media Molecule talks up DLC, shoots down LittleBigPlanet sequel

November 7, 2009

Twelve months, one million community levels, and a PSP spin-off later, some are wondering if it’s time for Media Molecule to begin working on an honest-to-goodness sequel to PS3 platformer LittleBigPlanet. The answer seems to be a very clear no. “We’d never want to do that,” level designer told Danny Leaver told Critical Gamer. “That’d be the most counterproductive thing you could do I think.”

It isn’t obvious… [Starts With A Bang]

November 7, 2009

It’s hard to believe that until 1929, we were pretty sure that the Universe consisted entirely of our galaxy, and everything else was inside of us.

Hard to believe that you can look at something like this and not think it was another galaxy like our own, isn’t it?

Yet when you look in the visible light — which is all they knew how to do back then — this is what the pinwheel galaxy (above) looks like through a modern advanced amateur telescope.

With several mobile phones running Google’s Android platform already out in the market or are about to be released by current popular mobile phone makers, who woud have thought that Motorola might actually come up with possibly the best Android phone of them all?

I mean, Motorola has been struggling to join the likes of Apple, Samsung,  HTC and even LG into the “smartest” phone niche but never seemed to get it right. Until now, as the Motorola DROID was finally launched. ThisSource: 901am RSS Feed

November 5, 2009

Microsoft’s Courier project – a dual-display “book” style electronic journal – has been intriguing us since it first leaked back in September, and the latest spillage of UI details courtesy of Gizmodo’s mysterious tipster is doing nothing to temper our interest.  The twin screens are both multitouch-capable and respond to fingers and the special stylus, the latter having two side-buttons (the upper one being an “undo” key), an eraser on the other end, and a rotating barrelSource: SlashGear RSS Feed

Getting 45 MPG at 207 MPH

November 3, 2009

Top this, hypermilers — Klaus Savier managed to get 45 mpg while traveling 207 mph. No, he’s not driving some super-Prius or streaking down the Bonneville Salt Flats in a Jetta diesel. The impressive number was posted by a pilot in a 400-mile air race over Arizona last month.

The Fuelventure 400 is more than a showcase for efficiency. Pilots are handicapped based on weight, number of passengers and speed. The idea is to encourage more of a real world effort rather than some ultraSource: Autopia RSS Feed

SlashGear Week in Review – Week 44 2009

November 2, 2009

The weeks are just flying by, time change is this weekend so I hope you aren’t late for anything. The holidays will be here before we know it. This has been another busy week in the gadget world. HTC has confirmed that Android 2.0 smartphones are incoming and the HTC Dragon is the likely first Android 2.0 device to come from HTC.

One of the slickest iPhone concepts I have ever seen tipped up early in the week. The thing shares some of the iMac style and looks dead sexy, if a bitSource: SlashGear RSS Feed

Mechanical Alchemy: An Exceptional Boss Battle

November 2, 2009

This morning I entered the Botanical gardens of Batman Arkham Asylum prepared for a fight with my favorite villain Poison Ivy. I was even prepared for the obligatory vagina plant boss that greeted me with its’ life draining weeds and poisonous “spores” straight from that duel clitoris. What caught me off guard was the amount patience and memorization required to survive this boss battle. I found my self tearing my hair out and yelling at the TV much like I did my fist play though of Mega ManSource: GayGamer.net RSS Feed
